150th Anniversary Celebration

At the Archbold Fire Department celebrates 150 years of service in 2026, we want to take a moment to say thank you to the incredible community that has supported us every step of the way.
For 150 years, you have stood beside us with you generosity, kindness, and encouragement. From donations and gifts to homemade cookies, fresh fruit, meals, fire station visits, invitations to community events, and countless prayers offered on our behalf – every gesture has meant more than words can express.
Nothing this amazing community has done has ever been taken for granted. Your support has strengthened us, encouraged us, and helped us continue serving Archbold for generations. For that, we are truly grateful.
As a small way to show our appreciation, we invite everyone to join us for a FREE community celebration on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
We will be beginning the day with a Parade, open house, various activities at Woodland Park, concert line ups with Girl Named Tom Headlining, followed by a drone show.
We can’t wait to celebrate with the community that has supported us for 150 years. Thank you, Archbold for being part of our story.
Saturday August 8th Archbold Celebration Event
Parade
10 A.M.
Beginning at the Archbold High School, the parade route will run:

West on Lafayette to South Defiance
-
North on South Defiance to West Mechanic Street
-
Ending at the Archbold Fire Department.
Open House
11 A.M. - 1 P.M.
Following the parade, the community is invited to the Archbold Fire Department South Side Station. Here you can see where the Firefighters and Emergency Service personnel live during their shift hours as well as all the equipment they use.
Throughout the day we will be holding various demonstrations and activities including;

Woodland Park
4 P.M.
Beginning at 4 P. M., Woodland Park located South of Archbold will be set up with various activities for all ages. Including:

The Archbold Fire Department's celebratory evening will conclude with a spectacular drone show featuring Open Sky Drone Show.
